Unsurprisingly I'm not an influencer...
I had a very funny moment this week.
You know those unboxing videos that are everywhere on social media? Perfect lighting, fancy knife gliding through tape, immaculate nails delicately lifting a lid…
Well, I tried to do one.
For the new notepads, pens, postcards, and the special Christmas gift I’ve ordered for everyone attending next week’s Courageous Leadership workshop.
It lasted about 30 seconds before I realised I am absolutely not an influencer.
No soft-lighting aesthetic. No elegant reveal. It was me with a pair of scissors, a cardboard box that refused to cooperate, and my husband laughing his head off at me.
Unboxing fail aside, I am so excited for next week!
And something I’ve had to remind myself while preparing for this workshop (and resisting the urge to redo every slide for the tenth time) is that being better at what you do isn’t about adding more. It’s often about subtracting.
More time to think, not react. Most of the ideas I’ve had this week have come after stepping away from my laptop, not while staring at it.
If you missed out on the workshop… all places for the December Leadership Workshop are now full.
But in January I’ll be sharing the full 2026 calendar of in-person workshops and events.
